Full Moon March 3, 2026 Wiccan Ceremony
The March 3, 2026 full moon is called Storm Moon, Worm Moon or Crow Moon. The ruling sun sign for this full moon is Pisces, which gives us a full earth moon in Virgo. The potent energy of a lunar eclipse, such as the one occurring on March 3, is often seen by Wiccans as a gateway to transformation through healing spells, shadow work, and releasing that which no longer works for you. Some choose to focus on cleansing and releasing rituals, which are always beneficial.
Whether you are a solo practitioner or work in a group, Wiccan rituals should include spells to purify the mind, body and soul. Nature always fills a void, so any negative energy that you release must be consciously replaced with positive vibrations. This full moon occurs at 06:37 EDT so you may want to perform your ritual the night before.
Since this full moon/lunar eclipse is the closest to the March Equinox on March 20, after cleansing, you can charge your tools and talismans in the stable moon one or two days after the eclipse, or use a different method, such as solar charging.

March 3, 2026 Full Earth Moon (Virgo) Cleansing & Blessing Ceremony
We often spend extra time indoors during winter and toxic energy can build up. My book Simple Wiccan Magick Spells for Everyday contains a ritual to cleanse and bless the home, so we will use this full moon to reduce any noxious vibrations within ourselves.
Advance Preparation
On the night of the full moon, you will take a bath with a special mix of cleansing herbes and meditate on the theme of spiritual cleansing and purification. Later, during the ritual, you will write down any negative thoughts you’ve been feeling, fold them inside a black or dark blue envelope and safely burn them.
