On October 31st, Wiccans celebrate their New Year’s Eve during the festival of Samhain. It’s a traditional time for remembrance and release and we plan for a prosperous future by releasing the negative energy of the past. It’s also the time of year when the veil between the spirit world and ours is thinnest, enabling us to make contact with the departed.

Samhain Spell for Remembrance and Release
My Wheel of the Year Guide contains a simple Samhain spell. During the ceremony, you will call up memories of your past and summon long-gone friends and ancestors and ask them what knowledge or wisdom they can offer you for the future.
You will recall the highs and lows of the past year, compliment yourself on your successes and forgive your failures.
Then, you will picture the coming year as you would like it to be – prosperous, filled with health, love, prosperity and satisfaction and you will create a personal talisman to remind you daily of your plans for the future.
