Wiccan Festival Imbolc Feb. 1 2019 Spells & Rituals

The Wiccan festival of Imbolc, or Candlemas occurs annually on February 1st. At this time, the days grow noticeably longer, though we may still require strength to sustain us through the remainder of winter. In traditional Witchcraft, Imbolc is a time for initiation but we can also use this festival to perform rituals that unlock hidden energies.

Imbolc Candlemas Ritual to Release Blocked Energy

If you need an Imbolc ritual, my Wheel of the Year eBook has a spell to help identify and release any vibrations hidden beneath the surface. NOTE: This ritual takes one and a half days to complete, as you will freeze a small crystal in moon water prior to performing the ceremony, so plan accordingly.

Imbolc Correspondences

Colours & Candles: white, silver, aqua

Herbes & Oils: bay, basil, hyssop, myrrh, sandalwood

Stones: crystal, amethyst, rose quartz

You will find rituals and recipes for every Wiccan festival in my Wheel of the Year guide. My Witches’ Cook Book has recipes for each sabbat and full moon.
